Hey Blog

This week, in accordance with my new life rules which I have yet to post, I will work on posting things to my blogs/vlog.

Let's see, today I woke up around 9 or so and went to see the movie Waiting for Superman. This is the first time I've seen a movie by myself in the theater. I was a little nervous with the darkness and all, and especially so because I had never been to this theater before, but it turned out fine. I was the first one in the theater, so no one noticed when I froze when I walked into the theater and I didn't know where to go. It took a few seconds, but I got adjusted and found the stairs and walked up and found my seat in the middle of the theater. I thought I was going to be the only one in there (apparently no one goes to see movies at 11 AM on a Sunday), but then a couple walked in, and then another couple walked in. Anyway, back to the movie. It was eye-opening and it made me want to do something to help these kids and change the education system in America. I volunteered yesterday at the children's museum in the art studio and got so much more out of helping kids make puppets than I do by answering phones and doing paperwork at my job. Don't get me wrong, I'm so thankful for my job - it pays the bills and allows me to live with a little extra "fun money" than if I had just a part-time job or was working on minimum wage. I've also met so many great people and have a ton of potential contacts if I want to continue working in the film/advertising industry. But now I have to decide, is this really the field I want to be working in? Decisions, decisions.
