The magic is fading

Somebody at work yesterday asked me if it was illegal to take pictures in this certain room.  Yes, actually, I will call the police and have you arrested if you take a picture with your camera in this room.  Oh people.  So yesterday I got paid to eat a cupcake, sort beads for about 20 minutes, sit around in the office for awhile and listen to people's conversations, among other equally stimulating activities.  I think it's going to come as a shock when I have to get a real job where people depend on me to actually do things.

Love can be the cutest thing.  The kind where you witness and silently "aww" to yourself.  The kind that just makes you so happy that two people can be so freaking cute together and makes you wish you had that, too.  I saw the movie Juno tonight, and I won't give anything away, but there were definitely those "aww" moments going through my head at times.  I don't think it's just in the movies, either.  It really exists, and that is the neat part.  I love seeing couples that make me happy.  I can't describe it really, it's just a sense that I get.  Everyone deserves love.  And not just the kind of sort of maybe in love game that people play.  Real, heartfelt, disgustingly sappy and silly and genuine love that exists.  Maybe I am playing it up to be something bigger than it is.  But I see these couples and it seems like so much more.  So much more than I can even fathom.  I don't think I have ever been in this kind of love.  I guess I would know if I had been.  I want that.

The first says a lot

I realize that there are probably more blogs posted on the internet than there are eyes to read them, but I decided to hop on the bandwagon.  Try everything once, right?  Well, maybe not.  

I dropped my cell phone a couple days ago.  I've dropped my phone a couple dozen times in the last 2 1/2 years and nothing has happened to it.  Scratches, sure, but nothing too monumental.  So I was sitting on the couch, sick and dazed, and reached over to grab my cell phone from the arm of the couch, but instead I whacked the thing right off the couch and onto the hardwood floor.  I reached over and picked it up and tried to open it up, and then I realized that I chipped off about 3 pieces of my phone from this one drop!  So I opened my phone all the way and it closed on me.  Just like that.  Bam-close.  I tried to open it again and realized that if I help my phone at just the right angle, it would stay open.  Otherwise, I would have to hold it open.  I also broke off the little light cover that shielded my eyes from the bright green or red light that flashed when charging.  It must have fallen under the couch.

Maybe it's like life.  You get a little beat up, emotionally that is, and it doesn't hurt too much.  Then one day, you can't take it anymore and you explode at the smallest criticism.  I've come to realize that you sound smart if you compare everything to life.  Indubitably.
